Our Objectives

We want to live in Godly fellowship as a community of believers. We are committed to live in love, in forgiveness, and as disciples of Jesus. We seek to grow in knowledge of God's word through our individual study of it, and as well through the teaching of his word. We believe the Word of God is the basis of knowing how to live together in God's grace, love and forgiveness.

We seek to grow in discipleship in FCBC. There are many ways to grow in discipleship; but we seek to be intentional and accountable through our mutual submission to one another lived out in house groups. Membership in FCBC means we are committed to participating in a house group; as well, as committed to corporate gatherings of worship.

We believe God wants us to extend His Kingdom, both here in Madison and across the world. We desire that believers in our fellowship share their lives and faith with others who do not know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We desire to help believers discover God's vision of the world through Missions. We want all in the body to have the opportunity to learn and grow in Christ through both local and global mission opportunities. As we grow in Christ and in awareness of the world's needs around us, we believe we will also grow in unity with the rest of the church -- both in the greater Madison area, and as well, around the world.

We believe that we are called to grow as Worshippers of God, as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Worship is expressed in many different ways; but that worship is our greatest priority. The outflow of a worshipping people flows into many areas:  prayer, intercession, gifts and callings of the Holy Spirit, healing --- in body, soul, and spirit.

And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

-- Romans 5:5
