Sending Team Vision

Reaching the spiritually lost, helping the materially poor, healing the emotionally broken and equipping the community of faith, to the ends of the earth

The key mission of God on earth is a ministry of deliverance. Delivering lost sinners from an eternity of estrangement from him, delivering those trapped in the bondage of poverty and oppression into freedom and dignity, and delivering those with mental, physical, emotional and relational brokenness to wholeness and reconciliation. His vehicle for deliverance is the community of faith, who bring the Kingdom of God to bear in a sick and dying world besieged by the Enemy. Therefore, God wants to equip the Church through the Holy Spirit to collaborate with him in this work. Empowering his people to proclaim the truth, confront evil and restore all things marred by wickedness.

Faith Community Bible Church seeks to release every member of our body into God’s mission. In particular, we believe God has placed us intentionally and strategically at the crossroads of two communities - the university and the Triangle neighborhood. We are therefore called chiefly to direct our local resources and energy towards the establishment of the Kingdom in these two areas. From time to time and season to season the ministries will change, but our efforts to seek first the Kingdom of God in these places will remain steadfast until such a time as God’s specific call on our community of Faith changes.

Internationally, we are motivated to see the Kingdom of God grow, both in pioneering locations where the name of Jesus is scarcely heard, as well as among the globally marginalized where poverty and oppression (spiritual, structural and material) are the predominant reality. This concern should be expressed in the sending of long-term workers as well as the sending of individuals and teams for short periods.

In our desire to equip the saints, FCBC will develop ministry training opportunities to help members grow in their missional giftings for evangelism, helps, healing and deliverance. We will build awareness of the spiritual, physical and emotional needs within our community and around the world and call believers to apply their gifts toward meeting those needs. Where possible we will provide encouragement and training to help members appropriately utilize gifts given to them in order to build the Kingdom of God.

In the end, it is our conviction that God’s intention is to use FCBC to establish his rule and reign, in the Triangle neighborhood, in the University of Wisconsin, and to the ends of the earth, bringing good news to the lost, hope to the poor and binding up the brokenhearted by proclaiming the Lord’s favor.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
